Motorcycle Transport in Sydney: Pickup, Delivery and How It Works

Sometimes you cannot ride the bike to where it needs to be. Maybe it will not start, maybe it is not registered, maybe you have just bought it interstate – or maybe you have come off and it is not going anywhere under its own power. That is where motorcycle transport comes in. Trooper Lu’s Garage can collect and deliver bikes across Sydney.

When you might need motorcycle transport

  • The bike is unregistered or unroadworthy – you legally cannot ride it on the road.
  • You have bought a bike and need it delivered to your door.
  • It will not start or has a mechanical fault.
  • You have had an accident and the bike needs to get to a repairer.
  • You are booked in for a service but cannot get time off to drop it in.
  • A track day, race meeting or long-distance move where riding it is not practical.

How it works

The process is straightforward. You tell us where the bike is and where it needs to go, we agree a time, and we collect it. Bikes are loaded and secured properly for transit – tie-downs on the right points, no straps through brake lines or bodywork. We then deliver to the workshop, your home, or wherever it needs to be.

What affects the price

  • Distance – a run across south-west Sydney costs less than a cross-city or regional pickup.
  • Access – a bike in an underground car park or up a narrow driveway takes longer.
  • Condition – a bike that rolls and steers is quicker to load than a crash-damaged one.
  • Urgency – same-day and after-hours pickups may cost more.
  • Number of bikes – moving two at once is usually cheaper per bike.

We will quote before we commit, so you know the cost up front.

Transport after an accident

If you have come off, do not worry about getting the bike anywhere yourself. We are a licensed motorcycle smash repair centre and we can collect the bike, quote the repair and deal directly with your insurer. We are Yamaha Motor Insurance and Mi-Bike preferred agents, and we also work with NRMA, Insure My Ride, Shannon’s, Swann, QBE and AAMI. Remember: you have the right to choose your own repairer. Our post-crash guide explains the whole process.
