Description

The Road LAMS Extensive Service includes:

Pre-service check
Test if bike starts and runs
Check wear & tear items
Check for damage and faults
Quote repair of damage, faults and wear & tear items

Engine
Change Oil
Replace Oil Filter
Check oil level and vehicle for oil leakage
Replace sump washer
Add Fuel Injection Treatment to Fuel Tank

Final drive
Final drive – Drive Chain
Lube and Adjust Chain
Check chain condition
Check condition of drive sprockets
Check wheel locknut torque
Final drive – Shaft drive
Replace shaft drive oil
Check wheel locknut torque
Final drive – Belt drive
Check condition of belt
Adjust belt tension
Check wheel locknut torque

Brakes
Inspect condition of front brake pads record data: % Remaining
Inspect condition of rear brake pads record data: % Remaining
Inspect condition of brake lines
Inspect brake reservoirs for leakage
Replace front brake fluid and bleed system
Replace rear brake fluid and bleed system
Check front brake operation
Check rear brake operation
Front brake disc condition: good / replace
Rear brake disc condition: good / replace

Battery
Load test battery and record results (CCA):
Check positive and negative terminals are secure
Spray battery terminal protector over battery terminals
Check charge rate and record data (Volts):

Electronic Functions
Check operation of indicators
Check operation of low and high beam
Check operation of parker light
Check operation of horn
Check operation of front and rear switches
Check dash neutral light is operational
Check operation of switch block kill switch
Check operation of sidestand switch

Operation Controls
Check and adjust throttle freeplay
Check and adjust clutch freeplay
Check clutch fluid and top up if needed
Lubricate clutch cable
Lubricate throttle cables
Lubricate choke cable
Lubricate brake lever pivot shaft
Lubricate brake pedal pivot shaft
Lubricate clutch lever pivot shaft
Lubricate shift pedal pivot shaft
Lubricate sidestand pivot shaft
Lubricate footpeg pivot shafts
Check lever and pedal positions

Cooling System
Replace coolant and bleed system
Check radiator coolant level and condition
Check overflow level and condition
Pressure test radiator cap

Tyres
Check condtion of front and record data (%age remaining):
Check condition of rear tyre and record data (%age remaining):
Adjust front tyre pressure record data (PSI):
Adjust rear tyre pressure record data (PSI):

Wheels and Suspension
Check steering bearings for play and roughness
Check swingarm linkage bearings for play
Check rear shock absorber operation and condition
Check operation of front forks and leakage

Steering
Grease steering head bearings

Swing arm
Grease swing arm bearings & suspension linkages

Compression test
Perform compression test

Spark Plugs
Replace spark plugs

Valve clearances
Check valve clearances
Adjust valve clearances – only if required – additional cost
Check cam chain condition

Air Filter
Clean Air Filter (Paper Filter)
Replace Air Filter – only if required – additional cost
Clean and re-oil Air Filter

Synchronise Carbuertors /Throttle Bodies
Synchronise Carbuertors
Check Fuel Hoses for Cracks and Damage
Synchronise Throttle Bodies

Diagnostic Tool
Connect motorcycle to YDT/Texa
Check and clear fault codes
Print diagnostic results and attach with invoice
Reset parameters
Clear service reminder
Clear any engine or warning lights on dash

Test Ride
Check idle speed
Check all dash functions are working correctly
Check operation of clutch
Check smoothness of changing gears
Check ABS operation if applicable
Check for oil and coolant leaks after test ride
Check for unusual noises
Clear service reminders and apply service sticker

Bike Presentation
Clean work area
Give bike quick wipe over and check over work
Ensure bike is presentable for release
