Here’s how it works and why it matters.
Why helmet fit matters more than size alone
Choosing the correct helmet size is only the beginning. A helmet can be the right size and still not be the right shape for your head, which leads to pressure points, movement and discomfort on longer rides. SHOEI P.F.S. goes beyond asking “what size do you wear?” and looks at how the helmet actually fits you.
How SHOEI P.F.S. works: measure, analyse, customise
- Measure – your head is carefully measured using SHOEI’s specialised P.F.S. equipment. Rather than relying on head circumference alone, the process captures detailed measurements that reveal your individual head shape.
- Analyse – your measurements are entered into the SHOEI P.F.S. system and compared against the internal dimensions of the appropriate SHOEI helmet, identifying where the standard liner fit can be improved.
- Customise – using the results, our P.F.S.-trained team customises the liner to reduce pressure points, improve stability and position the helmet correctly and comfortably.

A correctly fitted helmet can give you more even pressure around the head, fewer unwanted pressure points, improved stability, better positioning and field of vision, and greater comfort – particularly on longer rides.
What’s included, and the price
SHOEI P.F.S. fitment is $100 when you buy your helmet from us or already own a compatible SHOEI. Your appointment includes specialised head measurement, SHOEI P.F.S. analysis, and professional customisation of the internal liner where required. Customisation applies to the internal pads only – the centre and cheek pads – so the helmet shell is never modified.
